Every year, more often than not, we fail to fulfill our New Year's resolutions since there's no one to hold us accountable for it. That's why we decided that New Year's resolutions should be made in a group, especially as a family! Since you're with your family members all the time, you could always remind each other to stick to the resolutions you made together. Here are some New Year's resolutions you could make together with your family:


Practice gratitude

When you're living together with your family, it's easy to take them for granted for all the things they do in the family, be it doing the laundry, cooking meals, or shooing cockroaches away. Make it a point to express your gratitude to your family members at least once a week in a group.

Since most people have a mobile phone these days, there's no reason you shouldn't be taking pictures or videos of your family. A family album is a good way to see how far you've come together as a family throughout the years and how much you've all changed as well.

Exercising is a New Year's resolution that many people don't stick to but it's easier if you're doing it as a family. Make it a habit to work out together on designated days of the week — these exercises can be anything, whether it's going to the gym, cycling, swimming, or jogging together.

Make it a point to eat more fruits and vegetables this year and stock up your refrigerator with other healthy foods as well. If your house has lots of healthy food to eat, you're more likely to eat healthier as part of your daily habits too.

The COVID-19 pandemic has reminded us of how we used to take the outdoors for granted. As more people get vaccinated and more places open up, it's time to enjoy the benefits of staying off screens and being out with the trees and the sun again. Take a walk at a park with your family or stroll along the nearest beach; they'll do wonders for your mental and physical health.
